The Fred Eaglesmith Show starring Tif Ginn

Fred Eaglesmith can talk to you about almost anything. Chances are, he’s had that car, tractor, job, relationship, idea, and hat. But throughout his life and experiences there is always one thing that has remained the same: his undeniable gift for writing a song. Aspiring songwriters and performers of all ages call and write Fred with questions on how to have a career like his. And what can he say? Start writing songs when you’re 10 years old. Grow up with poverty, agriculture, religion, and eight siblings. Run away from home. Hop freight trains. Start a business. Loose a business. Struggle to get any gig. Drive to Nashville with no money and pockets full of songs. Get a record deal. Lose a record deal. Win a Juno Award. Break down on the side of the road everyday for days on end. Become a cult hero and amass a following of self-proclaimed “Fred Heads.” Tour relentlessly. Become everyone’s favorite. Becomes nobody’s favorite. Follow your gut. Smarten up. Don’t care what anybody thinks. Be fair. Be loyal no matter what. Keep going. Soften up. Give people a break. Expect nothing. Give everything. Keep going. Allow yourself to be happy. Find out who you are and deal with that. Don’t stay in fancy hotels. Write good songs.

After all these years touring the United States, Canada, and Europe, having his songs covered by some of the biggest names in music, and appearing on “The Late Show with David Letterman” – the enigmatic, countrified, Rock n’ Roll troubadour, Fred Eaglesmith, is carrying on with musical wife Tif Ginn.

Eaglesmith is a veteran of the music industry and at the same time is about as far away from actually participating in today’s music industry as one could be. Never operating within anyone’s boundaries, he continues to set the standard for independent artists everywhere.

Tif Ginn is a gutsy, amazing singer and a transcendent songwriter who has spent most of her life touring and playing music. Her impressive, sultry vocals and glorious harmonies with Fred, along with her multiple instrument additions to the show will have you in awe. This girl has it all, including Fred.

Live Music with The Dearlies

The Dearlies formed in the summer of 2016 when sisters Jenny and Meagan Osburn sold their beloved restaurant and music venue, The Union Street Cafe, and Rebecca MacDonald returned to the Annapolis Valley after 9 years away. Meagan and Rebecca already knew they loved singing together from the early days of The Union Street Open Mic night but when Jenny added her voice to the mix that summer the trio felt a little magic happen. They got to work learning and arranging Rebecca's sweet original songs and some fun covers in three part harmony. A couple of years later they had a pretty long set list, an even longer list of band names, some fun gigs under their belts, and some new musical friends. In the summer of 2018 The Dearlies connected with Yukon singer songwriter Kim Barlow. They had admired her since she played The Union Street stage years before and she had serendipitously ended up back in NS. They are thrilled to have her in the band playing lead guitar and banjo and teaching them her catchy tunes. The Dearlies are also lucky enough to have Sarah McInnis on fiddle and Peter Williams on upright bass when they are available.

Colin Fowlie at Lunn's Mill Beer Co.

https://colinfowlienb.bandcamp.com/album/party-music-2

Colin is a late bloomer but the wait was worth it.

In his younger years Colin played around with some bands in the Saint John, New Brunswick area. Taking the better part of 15 years off to focus on a career and a family, but never giving up on playing and writing.

Now with lots of life experience behind him, there is no shortage of writing material. Colin is constantly writing and is ready for a follow up full album to his 2015 EP "the upper cruft".

Growing up in the 90's Colin takes influence from the likes of: Chris Cornell, Alice in Chains, Eddie Vedder and now with the likes of Jason Isbell, Chris Stapleton, Matt Corby.

Though he won't admit it Colin can hold up to these vocalists and is continuing to grow.
